Broad Avenue Over Flint River Bridge

The Broad Avenue Bridge provides vital city grid and community connectivity. In 2009, when it was discovered that the bridge foundations were crumbling, it was imperative to design and replace the bridge as soon as possible. The project was put on a fast-track project delivery process, and the design considered many constraints, including endangered river species, adjacent park land, historic structures, archaeological findings, and contaminated soil.
